Poetry Corner

Hello friends! Once you see this post I’ll be on a plane and on vacation where I will not be able to post regularly. I will try to find a way. This poem is about summer. How fitting 🙂

impressionism-5

“And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.”– F. Scott Fitzgerald

SERENDIPITY

Light seeps through the stained glass,

Painting the white wall,

It was a time of beginnings,

The spark and humidity setting a fire,

The heavy air with the scent of sweat,

Sticky on my skin and insects bathing in glory,

Ice cold water,

A sharp sensation from the heatwave,

What a time it is,

Serendipity.
